Video Producer Communications

Summary of Position:
The role of the Video Producer is an enterprise-wide position responsible for helping to tell the story of the National Restaurant Association and the restaurant industry through video internally to the Association’s member base and externally to the general audience.  Projects may include promotional and commercial videos, social media news videos, video reports, event recaps, short documentary-style films.  Each video project will help promote and drive viewer engagement online and enhance the Association’s brand and visibility. 
Photography and motion graphics experience is not required but would be a beneficial skill.  
The Video Producer will also be responsible for traveling with the Senior Videographer to various Association events and on-location shoots.  
This role will work directly with the Director, Content & Advocacy Engagement, Senior Videographer and colleagues within the Association to continue to develop a strong video and media team that is able to define and develop content that will bolster the NRA’s presence in various social media channels operated by the enterprise, including YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
This position has no direct reports, but works in collaboration with other groups within the organization. 
Principle Duties:
Assist Video Shoots on and off site including interviews, documentary-style b-roll, live event
Video editing
Works as part of Policy and Government Affairs and Communications teams to accomplish Association goals.
Supports internal team members and departments following the Association mission and values while promoting Association culture.
Work with Association staff and membership to develop and implement effective community building programming through the organization’s social media channels using video and animation.
Works with Marketing to partner with State Restaurant Associations on video production projects and initiatives.
Helps film and photograph internal association events and support internal communications initiatives.
Travel with Senior Videographer on-location to Association events and video shoots
Secondary Duties:
Assist Live Event Photography
Assist Video, Audio and Motion Graphic editing 
Assist Infographic Animation production 
Works on special projects and other duties as required helping to promote department’s success.
Position Specifications:
Essential Use of Following Tools
Video and Photography Equipment including cameras, lighting and audio 
Essential Training/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, film or other relevant work experience.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a video production capacity.  
Excellent writing and editing abilities with basic knowledge of film development. 
Essential Skills/Knowledge: 
Knowledge of the following computer hardware: iMac, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, PC
Knowledge of camera equipment like: Sony FS7/FS5, Canon DSLR, Canon Lens Kit, 
Skill with video editing software such as: Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition) 
Strong organizational skills
Flexibility and superb interpersonal skills 
Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills 
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and via written communications
Computer literate (Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint applications)
Ability to learn other computer software programs, and enter and maintain accurate data/information
Broad fundamental knowledge of film production and animation
Ability to maintain confidentiality of work records
Ability to work as part of a team and to work independently
Demonstrative abilities in collaborative team building and consensus
Vision in areas of business, community relations and the restaurant industry 
Exceptional critical thinking skills
Business and stakeholder relationship building experience
Broad fundamental understanding of the restaurant industry/business environment

Must be able to work as an integral part of the Marketing, Communications and Membership Team
Must be able to maintain good rapport with all departments
