Sales Manager, Hotel & Lodging Sales

Summary of Position:
The position requires the Sales Manager to generate new business, maintain existing accounts, attend trade shows, and constantly manage all of the above with the coordination of other AHLEI departments. Performance of the duties requires exceptional sales ability, high customer service standards, strong oral & written communication skills, and the ability to analyze and evaluate appropriate products and services for the applicable market.  Also responsible for sales and support for academic and international clients when needed.
Essential Functions:
Build rapport with customers to identify their needs and provide solutions, facilitate the entire purchasing process to ensure customer satisfaction.
Develop and manage client relationships for assigned accounts in order to gain strategic positioning with decision makers and obtain additional business.
Maintain contact with all active customers on assigned accounts.
Identify sales opportunities in all domestic markets. 
Provide comprehensive account plans and strategies to obtain new business from both new as well as existing accounts.
Responsible for generating client proposals. 
Maintain account information by researching revenues, history, number of properties, contacts, etc. for new and existing accounts
Team with technical, product development, marketing, certification and support departments to ensure end-to-end customer sales and satisfaction with assigned customers. 
Team with client related support staff to ensure end-to-end customer sales and satisfaction
Incorporate all leads, proposals, and client activity into the Salesforce tool. 
Generate an Event Form after visiting clients.
Travel as required, and/or requested, to trade shows, domestic activities, and major corporate accounts.
Attend and actively participate in sales meetings.
Achieve and/or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
Perform related tasks as required.
Emontional Demands:
Knowledge in use of JOMAR to input and update client information.
Ability to ensure assigned sales goals are met.
Knowledge of client history and achieving client goals.
Ability and knowledge to negotiate and fulfill client(s) training needs.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management tools, such as Salesforce.
Ability to multi-task many projects and report on status.
Ability to work on and develop contracts and proposals regarding AHLEI product training programs.
Ability to travel.
