Are you ready for mobile payments?

If you want to know where mobile payments are heading, take a look at consumer behavior. The rise in popularity of apps such as Uber and Lyft offer an invisible transition from service to payment to exit -- and restaurateurs need to get ready. A "frictionless" payment is the idea of securely storing a user's payment information and preferences, so when the time comes to end the interaction, there is no friction around waiting for a server to drop off a check or credit card receipt. Tthe guest simply leaves when they like or after a final table touch from the server, knowing the bill is paid for, tip included. 
 
Wat needs to be in place to make this magic happen? What are the security concerns? And how fast are mobile payments catching on in restaurants?
