Restaurants are the heart of their communities, where neighbors and families gather to share good times and where they turn in time of need. Overwhelmingly, operators respond with food, kindness and support.
Each year, the restaurant industry donates $3 billion in resources to communities despite slim margins and a challenging economy.
Whether through local programs or national initiatives, approximately three-quarters of all restaurant owners donate to help end hunger.
The National Restaurant Military Foundation supports service veterans and their spouses through restaurant industry career development.
Four restaurateurs are honored for their exceptional community service, and the inspiring contributions they have made.
Almost all — 94% — of America’s restaurant operators make charitable donations.
The entire restaurant industry says “Thank you” to those who have served.
73% of restaurant owners make donations for food relief.
