5 reasons technology is good for business

It’s a no-brainer: operators looking to increase traffic and revenue have to embrace technology.

“There will be more rapid integration of technology into the restaurant experience,” says Hudson Riehle, the NRA’s senior vice president of research. “Technology in and of itself isn’t a ticket to success in the industry, but it’s important to know what the big trends are not just now, but what they’ll be three or five years from now. Wherever technology can be integrated, it’s a win-win for the consumer and the operator.”

The National Restaurant Association will serve up a slice of technology at this year’s Restaurant Innovations Summit, Oct. 27 and 28 in San Diego. Here are five reasons to attend:

  1. Learn from the industry's most innovative leaders. The Restaurant Innovation Summit will provide a forum for restaurant professionals and decision-makers from finance, marketing, IT and operations to share information and best practices.
  1. Get the latest info on screens, sensors and displays. Find out how to personalize the customer experience with advanced technology that helps capture diner loyalty and dollars.
  1. Discover what’s going on with tableside technology and how to make it work for your business. Figure out how it will make ordering faster, easier, and more convenient for guests while increasing productivity and profits at your restaurant.
  1. Network with leaders from Brinker International, Zeek's Pizza, Firehouse Subs, Golden Corral, Wendy's, Red Robin and White Castle. Hear how they’ve leveraged the latest tech innovations to grow sales in an increasingly competitive market.
  1. Get on the delivery services train to see what's coming next from providers such as GrubHub, Delivery.com, DoorDash, Postmates and Zomato. Don’t turn away the chance to cash in on takeaway sales.

Technology is integral to your business’ growth and success. Don’t get left behind; embrace it today. Register for the summit now.
