7 highlights from our armed forces culinary forum

Foodservice professionals from the Army, Air Force, Air National Guard, Navy, Marine Corps and Military Sealift Command received culinary training at our most recent Armed Forces Forum for Culinary Excellence.

Hosted by the NRA’s Military Foundation, the Sept. 21 through 25 event aimed to improve attendees’ skills through seminars, cooking demonstrations and career-coaching sessions. The event took place at the Culinary Institute of America-Greystone in St. Helena, Calif.

Leaders from Sodexo, Aramark, Ecolab, Hobart, New Chef, Rose Packing, Ventura Foods, and distributor Sysco Corp., provided career advice for attendees. The companies are longtime foundation supporters. Anheuser-Busch, the NRAMF’s supplier in residence, hosted a three-course reception to educate attendees on how to cook with beer.

Following are seven highlights from the event:
