Bueller? Bueller? Ben Stein to speak at supply chain confab

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

Ferris Bueller

You may not win Ben Stein’s money, but when you attend our upcoming Supply Chain Management conference, you’ll hear the most famous economics teacher in America take on business and politics.

Stein, one of the stars of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, a TV pundit, former Federal Trade Commission attorney and Presidential speechwriter for Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford, will keynote our conference, May 17 to 18, at the Swissotel in Chicago. He replaces FOX Business host Lou Dobbs, who was scheduled to appear, but is unable to attend.

The conference will address various issues challenging our industry’s supply chain, including:

  • The distribution challenges restaurant companies face
  • A legislative update from our chief lobbyist, Cicely Simpson
  • An update on commodities and the effect on food costs
  • The evolution of supply chain departments, and
  • How to prepare for a foodborne illness emergency

The meeting is open to operators and executives who work for restaurant and hospitality companies. In addition, product and service providers are welcome to attend as sponsors. Advance registration is open through April 20. After that, those who wish to attend can register at the hotel at no additional cost.
