Tell the kids to veg out!

Through its Kids LiveWell program, the National Restaurant Association regularly reaches out to chefs, operators and their customers to find out what nutritious choices or tips they use to get children to eat more healthfully at restaurants.

As part of its commitment to promoting those healthful choices, the NRA often hosts Twitter parties to share information on what children are eating when they dine out.

The Kids LiveWell team held a Twitter chat asking folks how best to get youngsters to eat their veggies. In celebration of National Eat Your Vegetables Day, here’s what some of them said:

1. Be a good role model.

2. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

3. Make it fun.
