Finance summit to offer growth, liquidity solutions

Join the industry’s finance leaders for the National Restaurant Association’s 2015 Restaurant Finance Summit, which will show operators how to execute growth strategies for their businesses.

“While the financing market has loosened up somewhat after years of contraction during and following the Great Recession, it is still imperative for industry finance professionals to explore new avenues to keep the momentum going,” said David Koenig, vice president of tax and profitability for the National Restaurant Association. “Attendees will have unparalleled opportunities to interact with professionals from investment banks, traditional lenders, and private equity firms to gain new perspectives on common issues. We hope to spur new ideas that can be translated into practice upon return to the home office.”

This year’s summit, to be held May 18, during NRA Show 2015 in Chicago, will feature Russ Bendel, CEO of The Habit Burger Grill, as its keynote speaker. It also will include presentations and panel discussions on current and projected market conditions, evaluating options and preparation for growth and/or liquidity, a deep-dive into the private equity world, and success stories of several industry operators.

Panelists for the conference include: Geoff Hill of the Roark Capital Group equity firm, Arby’s CEO Paul Brown; Roz Mallet, CEO of PhaseNext Hospitality; Barcelona/Bar Taco CEO Andy Pforzheimer; and NRA’s senior vice president of research Hudson Riehle. See the complete list of speakers and session topics here.

“The economic recovery is still relatively modest compared to previous post-recessionary periods, but the incremental improvements we are seeing do put the restaurant industry in a better place this year than last year, which in turn was better than the year before that,” Riehle said. “It’s important for restaurant industry professionals to keep an eye on economic trends to gauge how the current operating environment may affect their business today and into the future.”

Registration for the summit is $299 for restaurant operators and includes full access to NRA Show 2015 at McCormick Place, May 16-19.
