NRA, Technomic team up to offer adult beverage info

In an effort to provide restaurant operators with the best, most practical information on alcohol service and adult beverages, the National Restaurant Association has teamed up with research firm Technomic Inc. to disseminate that knowledge on a regular basis.

As part of the deal, Technomic, a noted firm specializing in foodservice marketing research, will provide content for the NRA’s website and e-newsletters on adult beverage topics in order to help NRA members strategically plan their bar programs. In addition, its subject matter experts will offer information during special webinars and seminars at the 2013 International Wine, Spirits & Beer Event, which will be held May 19-20, 2013, in conjunction with this year’s NRA Show in Chicago.

“Wine, spirits and beer can be a profitable part of a restaurant’s offerings,” said Dave Matthews, executive vice president of Innovation & Membership Advancement for the National Restaurant Association. “Having the latest information at their fingertips will help operators maximize profitability and provide guests a selection of adult beverages to meet their increasingly sophisticated palates.”

“Adult beverage is a dynamic element in the hospitality business, now and for the foreseeable future, and numerous opportunities exist for operators and suppliers to build sales and revenue,” noted Darren Tristano, Technomic’s executive vice president. “We are pleased to bring our adult beverage information and expertise to NRA members and contribute to their success in 2013 and beyond.”
