NRA to hold inaugural restaurant finance summit

The National Restaurant Association will present its first Restaurant Finance Summit, where issues related to the financial health of the restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industry will be discussed.

The conference, which will be held May 19, 2014, also will include full access to all four days of the National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show at McCormick Place in Chicago, May 17-20. The meeting will serve as a gathering place for restaurant and financial executives, Wall Street analysts, investment groups and lenders, and expert tax/accounting professionals to address pressing financial issues that affect business operations.

“Financing and finance-related issues continue to be a critical focus for restaurateurs looking to expand existing concepts or launch new ones,” said Dave Koenig, the NRA’s vice president of tax and profitability. “Our goal is to bring these restaurant executives together with potential lenders and investment groups to discuss opportunities in an environment – the NRA Show – that embodies the scope and vitality of our industry.”

Jonathan Tisch, chairman of Loews Hotels & Resorts, which will give a keynote speech at the conference’s luncheon, and education sessions on topics such as hot industry growth prospects, options for financing existing or expanding operations will be featured throughout the day. In addition, a panel of speakers from major restaurant chains, well-known lenders and leading Wall Street analysts, as leaders of several well-known accounting and law firms, will hold an in-depth discussion on accounting and tax issues.

Attendees also will have an opportunity to participate in networking functions and a reception after the event.
