Great tricks to treat kids to healthful meals

The National Restaurant Association hosted a live Twitter party on Oct. 29 to promote its Kids LiveWell program, as well as tips to have a healthful, safe and fun Halloween.

While Halloween is over, these tips from the program's participating restaurants and the Twitter party's special guests, Kids LiveWell collaborator Healthy Dining Finder and sponsor Kellogg Company, will be helpful all year long.

1. Encourage kids to make healthful choices.

2. "Dress up" a nutritious snack to make eating fruit and vegetables fun.

3. Visit participating Kids LiveWell restaurants to make the healthful choice the easy choice when dining out with kids.
