Zukey Lake Tavern

For the past 18 years, Zukey Lake Tavern has given ventilator-dependent children the chance to go to camp at no cost to their families. When the University of Michigan’s Mott Children’s Hospital began the Trail’s Edge Camp for children who need ventilator assistance, Zukey Lake decided to sponsor a golf outing to support this worthy cause. This year’s 18th annual outing raised more than $32,000; to date, Zukey’s estimates it has raised about $450,000 for the program. Zukey Lake Tavern also hosts an annual Santa & Mrs. Claus Night fundraiser on three Tuesdays in December for local schoolchildren, and it sells candy canes throughout the season. All proceeds go to the Trail’s Edge Camp.
