Morton’s has watched many of its wishes come to fruition since the company opened its doors three decades ago. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the company partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Over the course of a year, Morton’s “30 Wishes for 30 Years” campaign aims to make 30 wishes come true for children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. The campaign began in March with a silent and live auction, which raised $40,000. Other fundraising events include Charles Krug Wine Dinners, which have raised $36,000 at four Morton’s locations; a silent auction package that will launch in most restaurants this fall, and the Morton’s and Make-A-Wish $19.78 Prime Sirloin Hamburger. Five dollars in proceeds from the sale of each prime sirloin hamburger will go to the Make-AWish Foundation. Morton’s 5,000 employees are enthusiastic champions of the campaign. To date, the company has raised $99,250 to help fulfill 16 wishes — more than half of its total goal.
