Looking to expand its strong commitment to community service, Tijuana Flats Burrito Company created a foundation and gave it a clever name to brand its cause. The Just in Queso Foundation raises funds to help communities during disasters such as tornados and hurricanes. It also hosts parties for underprivileged kids, donates bikes during the holidays and raises funds for breast cancer research. Employees get involved by donating to the Just in Queso Foundation through payroll deductions and by taking part in volunteer opportunities. And customers can feel good about turning up the heat on their food: sales of the company’s Just in Queso Hot Sauce go to the foundation. Tijuana Flats and the Just in Queso Foundation have contributed more than $500,000 in cash and $50,000 in food and drink since 1995.
