The Melting Pot is in a league of its own when it comes to efforts to find a cure. In 2005, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital named The Melting Pot Corporate Partner of the Year. Two years later, it received another award — this time from the Tampa mayor — for its community involvement and leadership in the fight against childhood cancer. For the past five years, St. Jude has been the Melting Pot’s national charity. The company has raised more than $3 million for St. Jude and continues to break records. It raised more than $1 million for the hospital during the 2007-2008 campaign. Outreach events at area Melting Pot restaurants reflect each restaurant’s “personality” and have included wine tastings, live concerts, formal benefit dinners, magic shows and more.
