For the employees of Cheyenne Mountain Resort, delighting their Colorado Springs community means more than providing great food and lodging. The resort’s 500 employees help affect the lives of others through the company’s Hometown Hospitality program. Cheyenne Mountain’s 17- member DELIGHT committee focuses much of its outreach on the Boys & Girls Club of the Pine Peaks Region, helping the organization’s three locations with playground reconstruction, fundraising, teen leadership and academy programs. The resort’s general manager serves on the club’s board of directors. Cheyenne Mountain Resort also participated in Earth Day 2008, Toys for Tots, Patriot Day, the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk and Catholic Charities, to name a few. Within the past year, the resort has donated $10,000 in cash and more than $100,000 in inkind contributions of food and beverages, gift certificates, merchandise, guest rooms, golf rounds and more.
