A small neighborhood restaurant, Mickie’s Bluefish Grill was looking for an ongoing way to keep connected to its community — one that went beyond its other fundraising endeavors. For nearly two years, the restaurant’s First Monday program has invited one organization or charity to be represented at the restaurant the first Monday of each month. The restaurant donates a percentage of the day’s sales to the organization.
