Sometimes it takes a village to pull off a successful fundraising effort. Outback Steakhouse’s Beauty of a Bonzer event, supported by Outback Steakhouse of Arizona, does just that. The event brings together several charities for a concert and dinner in Phoenix, with proceeds benefiting each group. Now in its eighth year, the Beauty of a Bonzer event attracts major entertainment such as the Beach Boys and Reba McEntire and has raised more than $2 million for Phoenix-area charities. Beneficiaries include Phoenix Children’s Hospital, The Real Gift Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association, Special Olympics Arizona and many others. The event is so popular that McMahon Restaurant Group conducts contests to see which Outbackers at its 18 Arizona locations get to participate in the volunteer efforts.
