Health Care Reform before the Supreme Court  Members only
March 29, 2012
3 p.m. ET
On March 26, 27, and 28, the Supreme Court hears oral arguments on the constitutionality of Health Care Reform's mandate that requires most individuals to purchase health insurance. After the arguments, on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at 3 p.m., attorneys from Seyfarth Shaw’s Health Care Reform Team will provide analysis on the arguments in an exclusive webinar for National Restaurant Association members. Seyfarth Shaw filed the National Restaurant Association’s amicus brief before the Supreme Court on the issue of severability. In the brief, the National Restaurant Association argues that, if the individual mandate is found unconstitutional, all of the rest of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) must be struck down. Striking down only part of the law would leave in place an unbalanced regime that would not function as intended and would likely exacerbate the very problems Congress sought to resolve.

This and other issues will be discussed in-depth during the webinar.

Health Care Reform before the Supreme Court
March 29, 2012
