Tuesday Town Hall Teleforums
The National Restaurant Association offered a unique opportunity to voice your opinion directly to America’s leaders and 2008 presidential candidates. Whether it’s immigration reform, health-care costs, minimum wage, mandatory nutrition data on menus, lawsuit abuse or tax relief (see some top restaurant issues here), we gave you a chance to weigh in with decision-makers. The "Tuesday Town Halls" were offered in partnership with the National Federation of Independent Business and the Associated Builders and Contractors to connect small-business owners with the men and women running for the nation's highest office. The hour-long conference call functioned much like a radio call-in show, and NRA members who joined the call had a chance to ask presidential candidates questions live on the air. We’ve invited some of the top Republican and Democratic presidential candidates and other political leaders to join us. Past calls: Former Governor Mitt Romney
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, former U.S. Sen. John Edwards, U.S. Sen. Barack Obama and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson were also invited to speak in the series. For more information, contact Meredith Nethercutt at mnethercutt@restaurant.org. |
