Overview: The Association monitors federal, state and local regulatory activity on issues such as public health, sanitation, food security, facilities design, and indoor air quality.



Top Health & Safety Issues

ADA Accessibility Guidelines: New federal guidelines will be published in late July defining what makes a building "accessible."

Food Security: The restaurant industry is working closely with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and 40+ leading food organizations to monitor and protect the U.S. food supply.

FDA Model Food Code: The National Restaurant Association wants to make sure the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Model Food Code works for foodservice operators.
