This September, many restaurateurs will celebrate National Food Safety Education Month by increasing food safety understanding and practice among staff.
This year’s theme, “High-risk customers: Serve your fare with extra care,” offers free training tools to help employees recognize high-risk customers and identifying foods they should avoid. The tools also reinforce internal cooking temperatures to help serve those customers safely and five major food safety risk factors.
The activities are based on food safety guidelines from the National Restaurant Association’s ServSafe food safety training and certification program.
Download five weeks of activities and training posters. The tools can help you raise awareness about the importance of food safety in September and year round.
