Restaurateurs are petitioning Congress to repeal a new mandate that greatly expands the volume of 1099 tax forms businesses need to file each year with outside vendors and the Internal Revenue Service. "For a small, fast-casual restaurant like ours, this is a significant increase in recordkeeping," says NRA member Charlie Feehan, owner/operator of Shane's Rib Shack in Alpharetta, Ga.

Feehan is one of hundreds of NRA members who wrote to their lawmakers in response to a National Restaurant Association action alert urging Congress to repeal the new mandate.
