RIS speakers talk latest tech, marketing trends

Wondering what to expect at our Restaurant Innovation Summit?

Prepare to get “Wired and Weird” with our roster of industry, marketing and tech experts as they introduce and analyze the latest trends in the marketplace and explain what they could mean for your business. Driving business one truck at a time



Meet classically trained chef Roy Choi. Hear how he set the food truck world on fire after rolling out his Kogi Korean taco truck business in Los Angeles, and how it helped turn him into the bonafide celebrity chef he is today. Sept. 13, 1-2 p.m.

Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto

The future is now. Linda Pouliot, CEO and co-founder of Dishcraft Robotics, and Dr. Deepak Sekar, CEO of Casabots, talk about how robots are about to impact back-of-the-house operations. Learn about Sally, Casabots’ new salad-making robot. Sept. 13, 4:30-5 p.m.

No storefront, no problem



New restaurant groups and concepts are experimenting with delivery-only businesses, creating food items based on customer delivery data and preferences and sourcing them from the best restaurants across the country. Peter Schatzberg of Green Summit Group, Wiley Cerilli from Good Uncle and Jeremiah Green from the Eat Purely Company will help you experiment with this new-age restaurant model. Make your restaurant a virtual reality



Ryan Bell will pull double duty, offering a picture of what virtual reality looks like for the restaurant industry. Virtual restaurants don’t have traditional dining rooms; they test their food by producing it in a commissary and serving only by delivery.
