Restaurant Careers


Students and educators who wish to pursue further formal training in the restaurant and hospitality industry can browse scholarship opportunities from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, state restaurant associations and other food-related organizations.

Millions of dollars in opportunities are available at multiple levels. Explore the following links to find the best one for you.

National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation

Since 1997, the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation has awarded more than $6 million in scholarships to college freshmen and other undergraduates. Find out more about NRAEF scholarships.

State restaurant associations

The National Restaurant Association works closely with 52 state restaurant associations. Many offer scholarships through their education foundations. Explore state associations through our SRA page to find opportunities.

American Culinary Federation

The American Academy of Chefs, the honor society of the American Culinary Federation, offers a variety of scholarships for high school students, college students and professional chefs.

Careers Through Culinary Arts Program

Students who attend C-CAP programs in high schools and afterschool programs can compete for culinary school scholarships in this program.

James Beard Foundation

The James Beard Foundation offers a variety of scholarships to culinary students as well as grants to those working in the field.

Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation, part of the American Dietetic Foundation, is the largest provider of dietetic scholarships to deserving students at all levels of study.

International Foodservice Editorial Council

Students interested in foodservice communications including public relations, journalism and photography can apply for scholarships through this organization.
