ServSafe Named One of America’s Top Online Learning Providers 2024 by Newsweek

Rankings highlight top learning institutions other than a university or college
Washington, D.C. – For the second year in a row, ServSafe® has been named to the list of America’s Top Online Learning Providers 2024 by Newsweek and Statistica Inc. The rankings highlight institutions, other than a university or college platform, which provide access to online courses.

Statista surveyed more than 9,000 individuals in the United States who have used online learning services to obtain an academic degree or acquire knowledge and skills for their job (professional development) or hobbies (personal development) via online courses.

Survey respondents were asked to rate the institutions based on six dimensions:
  • Organization and Accessibility
  • Support and Services
  • Cost of the Program
  • Reputation
  • Success
  • Practical Relevance
Respondents also rated how satisfied they were with the organization and to what extent they would recommend it to others. User reviews and additional institutional indicators were transformed into score values and aggregated towards a final score.

The awarded institutions are awarded five stars if their final score value is above the median score of all awarded institutions. ServSafe received five stars.

“This award is especially meaningful because it is based on evaluations of the restaurant workers who have used the programs to advance their careers,” said Michelle Korsmo, President & CEO of the National Restaurant Association and CEO of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. “As an industry-created training, the ServSafe program provides continuous learning opportunities to train employees for what’s happening in the industry right now so that they can grow their skills while advancing their foodservice careers. We’re excited to continue investing in the program to make it an even better experience for current and new users.”
